Julie Andrews’ Collection of Poems, Songs, and Lullabies
Paintings by James McMullan
Little Brown and Company 2009

Julie Andrews, through her passion for music, selects poems, songs and lullabies to bring joy to the reader’s ear. She includes a few of her own original poems. Songs include ‘Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’!’, “Accentuate the Positive”, and “My Favorite Things”, which she sang in “The Sound of Music”. She introduces to readers the poem, “A Pit Pony’s Memory of the Strike”, a poem her grandfather wrote of a strike in England’s coal mines. For those musically inclined this collection is a special delight.
